PROPOSED PROJECTS

1. FOOD AID PROPOSAL

Objectives of the Project  

To help the starving people due to the prolonged drought in Kenya

 Beneficiaries

The food aid is expected to benefit the residents of Korr, Nzaikoni Catholic Mission, and Don Bosco Kakuma (Refugee Camp).

 Amount

In order to implement this project the total amount of money requested from donors is 134,130.32 Euros.

 

2. TRAINING OF VTC INSTRUCTORS PROPOSAL  

Objectives of the Project  

To improve the performance of Don Bosco Boys town VTC instructors

Beneficiaries                                                 

Don Bosco boys town VTC instructors are expected to benefit from this project. 

Amount

In order to implement this project the proposed amount needed to train 20 instructors for a period of one year is 12,967.92 Euros.

 

3. PURCHASE OF A LAND CRUISER PROPOSAL   

 Objectives of the Project

The objective of this proposal is to better the coordination of activities at Nzaikoni Catholic Mission.

Beneficiaries

The direct beneficiaries will consist of the youth of Nzaikoni Catholic Mission.

Amount

The total amount of money required to implement this project is 45,195.48 Euros.

 

4. YOUTH EMPOWERNMENT TRAINING PROPOSAL

Objective of the Project

The objective of this project is to train the young people from different parts of the country to become ambassadors of peace.

Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries will be the young people who reside in Nairobi’s informal settlement areas. The programme will also target the young people in other parts of the country targeting areas that that were much hit by the post election violence.

Amount

The total amount required to implement this project is 36,000 Euros.

 

5. CONSTRUCTION OF NEW CLASSROOMS, LABORATORIES AND WASHROOMS PROPOSAL

Objective of the Project

To expand the existing infrastructure at Don Bosco Embu

Beneficiaries

The immediate beneficiaries of the proposed project will be the students coming from poor family backgrounds.

Amount

The total amount of money needed to implement this project is 262,095.75 Euros.

 

6. SPORTING ITEMS PROPOSAL

Objective of the Project

To use sports as a valuable tool of initiating social development and improving cohesion among the young people

Beneficiaries

The students of Don Bosco boy’s town and Bosco boys are expected to be empowered using sports to provide them with the many opportunities emerging from sports.

Amount

The total amount of money required to implement this project is 8,662.46 Euros.

 

7. PURCHASE OF FURNITURE AND OTHER EQUIPMENTS FOR THE DINING HALL,   CONFERENCE AND ACCOMODATION ROOMS PROPOSAL

Objective of the Project

To equip the newly constructed facility at DBYES

Beneficiaries

The direct beneficiaries of this project are the youth and students of DBYES.

Amount

The total amount needed to implement this project is 33,461.02 Euros.
